Kerry: Dearest Guides in the highest light, please share with me today your message.

Spirit: We are here Dear One, and this is our message today…

Be open to Love. What does this mean to “be open to” ?

To receive anything, one must be open. Be willing to receive. It requires a removal of any barriers that would inhibit the act of receiving.

You can imagine someone handing you a gift, all wrapped and pretty. You outstretch your arms to receive it, taking it into your hands. This outwardly observable act of receiving appears to be complete, but there is actually much going on behind the scenes of what is observable.

What are the feelings and thoughts of the receiver? Is there judgement? Is there hesitancy to accept for fear or belief in need to reciprocate? Is there embarrassment that you don’t deserve this gift?

How does the energy of the receiver affect the giver? Even without words; through body language, facial expression, and energy, the gift giver can read the recipients response.

The transaction can potentially take on a completely different meaning than what was intended.

Imagine if all this can occur with a simple material gift, what can occur when Love is the gift to be given.

Be open to love, to receiving Love. When someone ventures forth to express Love to you, in whatever form, how can you be receptive?

Can you receive without judgement, without expectation of shoulds and perfection? Can you look deeper into the givers intent and understand and have compassion for what motivates their act, even in its imperfection?

Can you Love yourself enough to allow receiving Love from others? Can you open your gate of deservedness, allowing in this divine guest?

Being open to Love, in all its forms, is a practice. It is a practice of awareness of your own thoughts, beliefs and experiences and how they effect your receptivity. It can be a call to healing a belief which no longer serves you.

To be open to Love does not remove the need for appropriate boundaries and speaking your truth. But it allows you to have a compassionate heart to Love yourself and to see the good in another, whatever their motivations may be.

Be open to loving yourself. Build your heart loving capacity. Gift yourself the Love you need. Fill your well that it be a full reservoir to quench your thirst, allowing you to equally provide to others who thirst for Love.

Be open to Love; as a receiver and as a giver. Giving Love does not deplete your reservoir, but when done with grace and no expectation can serve to fill your well.

Be the active participant to creating a world of greater Love, greater connection, compassion and healing.

Go forth in Peace and with Love.
