Spirit: I am here Dear One.

Today let’s explore compassion. What is compassion? What does it mean to be compassionate?

We can look at the word in pieces: ‘com’ meaning with, ‘passion’ being just that…passion. Compassion = with passion.

What kind of passion? With heart.

To truly see another from your heart space, from a place of connecting heart to heart. To be with someone at a heart level.

When you connect with someone at a heart level, there is a higher vibratory resonance of Love energy. There is no space for judgement. There is the full recognition of our linked humanity, the feeling of ‘There but for the grace of God go I”.

This space allows for an opening to be truly with another, in their experience.

This does not mean that you must step into suffering. Nor should you lack practice of healthy boundaries for your own care and safety.

Compassion is a heart centered practice. Its true practice has no EGO. Its purpose is for the highest good of all. There is no expectation of return or gain. It is a gift from the heart.

Compassion is best begun at home. Home being within us. How and when can you be more compassionate with yourself? Know that you can not give that which you do not have within yourself.

Be compassionate with yourself in your own short comings. When you have reacted badly. When you have “failed” at an important task. When you have let someone down. When you have not lived up to your own expectations.

Be with yourself in the EGO-less space of loving compassion. Recognize the message’s learning opportunities of your experiences. Recognize these as gifts for your growth.

When you can sit with compassion for yourself and your own experiences, you build the muscle of compassion for others. It is as simple as that. Dear Friends.

Go with love in your heart, peace on your lips and compassion for all.
